Kambiz Roshanravan Information

Roshan Ravan, Kambiz (born June 1949) Iranian contemporary composer. He was born in Tehran the capital city of Iran. When he was only 12 he started to learn music Educations Roshan Ravan after passing primary school entered the National Higher Conservatory of Music and under the supervision of masters such as Hossein Dehlavi, Mostafa Poor Torab, Arfà Otraei, Manoochehr Monshizadeh, Mohammad Esameeli, and Hossein Tehrani started to learn academic music. He received his music certificate from the Higher Conservatory of Music in 1967 and then entered the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University. Roshan Ravan in years of studying in the university enjoyed the presence of masters such as Immanuel Malik Atlantic, Thomas Christin David, Alireza Mashayekhi, Mohammad Taqi Masoudiyeh, and Mehdi Barkeshli and received his B.A. in the field of music composing in 1972. After passing the military course, he left Iran for the USA to follow his studies, and in a university of southern California (USC), he started to learn electronic and modern music and received his M.A. in music composing in 1979. Later after two decades’ elapse i.e. in 2000, he received his Ph.D. in the same field from the American Hawaii University. Professional Activities It is more than 40 years that Kambiz Roshan Ravan is teaching as a master of music in Higher Conservatory of Music (1967-75), Music School (1969-75), Daneshsara of Art (1968-1975), Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University (1970-73 and 1979-1980); Faculty of Radio and Television (1982-2004), the University of Art (1986-1993), the Islamic Center of Film Making (1987-1990), the Girls Music Conservatory (1988-2003), Tarbiat Modares University (1993-2002) in other words Roshan Ravan while was studying for higher-level education, he had taught music ceaselessly in various institutions and art organizations and also has been busy to create glorious music works. Personal Life Kambiz Roshan Ravan has married lady Azar Afrooz and the fruit of this marriage is two daughters who are named Hiva and Hila and two sons who were named Hooman and Ali.
