Biography

Rajab Ali Etemadi (born on 02 February 1934) known as R. Etamadi is a contemporary Iranian writer, novelist, and journalist. He is famous for writing popular and best-selling novels. Rajab Ali Etemadi was born in 1312 in Lar city in Fars province. His father chose his grandfather’s name for him, but his mother changed his name to Mahdi, but his birth certificate name remained Rajab Ali. In 1335, after completing his military service, he took part in the training test of the newspaper and entered the newspaper as the sixth. Etemadi was the founder and editor of the first magazine with a special audience for the young generation of Iran. Youth magazine from the publications of the Information Institute in the 1940s and 1950s, under the editorship of Etamadi (1345-1359), became one of the best-selling magazines in Iran, which had fans beyond the borders of Iran, even in other Persian-speaking countries such as Afghanistan and Tajikistan. He wrote most of his books. with the nickname R. It has been published with confidence. He has most of his literary fame because of the subjects of his stories. Etamadi is one of the few contemporary Iranian novelists who have been read and known by many young generations of Iran, despite all the restrictions on the publication of his books. From the late 1950s to the late 1970s, Emetadi could not publish anything under his real name, but unauthorized copies of his works were among the best-selling products of peddlers around El-Enghelab Square. 28 trust books have been published so far, 18 of which were published as a weekly footnote in the weekly information and youth magazine. According to the author, all his novels are based on real characters. As an example, the story of Shahrzad, the character and the story of the book Shab Irani Etamadi, was inspired by a news that was published in Bild, Germany. This conversation had a wide impact and Hamdali newspaper published it on its front page under the title “I was the first to be banned”. For the first time, Etimadi expressed his opinions about religion, the structure of the information institute, cultural society, and counterculture. He also said that it was the first ban on writing after the revolution. This conversation was published on three pages. At one point in this interview, Etamadi talked about his meeting with Makarem Shirazi, who had read the novel “Twist Make Me Hot”, and Mr. Etamadi mentioned in the interview that he changed his form later. He also talked about his three months in New City; which led to the writing of the book “Story of the City of Sadness”.
