Biography

Samadi, Yadollah (born Nov. 16, 1952, demised, Sep. 24, 2018), Iranian contemporary conductor, playwright, cinema producer Childhood and Educations He was born in Maragheh, one of the cities of East Azerbaijan in an overpopulated family. When he was 4, his family migrated to Tehran. During the years of high school, for the sake of family poverty, he was obliged to work as a simple work for a short time and later to earn money taught in the organization of “Movement Against Illiteracy”. Due to his interest in cinema which was inseminated in him from childhood, he found a way to entering into the studio of Film Making of Golden Era (Asr-e-Talaie) which was located at the close of his house. Yadollah Samadi in 1972 while he was a high school student happens to meet Nosrat Karimi, the director, and gave his handwritten play to him; the play was approved by Nosrat Karimi and he himself was accepted formally as the second Karimi’s assistant for the film of the Three-Person Bed. In 1975 when Nosrat Karimi was producing the film the Ruined House, invited Samadi as an assistant, and then Shahriyar Qanbari asked Samadizadeh to cooperate with him as assistant for making the film “The Last Dinner”. After a while, he was invited to television to cooperate with Morteza Alavi for making the series of “The Royal Thorne of Abu Nasr”. Within these years he learned the latest technics of film production under the supervision of the veterans. His efforts and commitment encouraged Nader Ebrahim, the writer, to invite him for making the series “The Far Journey” and the series of “Hami and Kami in the Homeland” when he was known as a committed assistant, many other well-known directors invited him for cooperation and finally by making his first film under the name of “The Man Who Knew Too Much” in 1984 made the first post-revolution sarcastic film. By making this film he followed this job both in television and cinema along with these activities he was assigned as the head of the Iran Cinema Directors Center. He also took part in the 17th and 30th Fajr Film Festival as a judge of the Iran Cinema Section Competition. Personal Life The fruit of his marriage with Parvaneh Abbaszadeh is a daughter who was named Banafsheh who is active in the field of the professional voice. But after surgery due to physical weakness he died in the hospital. His body after a funeral ceremony in the House of Cinema was buried in the Artists’ plot of public Grave Yard of Behesht-e-Zahra.
