Behnam Kamrani, born in 1968 in Shiraz, is a prominent Iranian painter, sculptor, visual artist, writer, art critic, and curator. He is considered one of the influential figures in contemporary Iranian art, with his works exhibited in numerous national and international shows.

Education

• Bachelor of Painting: Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran (1995)
• Master of Painting: Art University of Tehran (1999)
• Ph.D. in Art Research: Art University of Tehran (2008), with a dissertation on miniature paintings in traditional medical manuscripts

Professional Activities and Memberships

• Faculty member at Art University
• Member of the Iranian Society of Painters
• Member of the editorial board of Art Tomorrow magazine
• Member of the Comparative Art Research Group at the Iranian Academy of Arts (2006–2010)
• Jury and selection committee member for various exhibitions, including New Arts and national art festivals
