Biography
Nosratollah Moslemian (born in 1951, in Salmas)
Nosratollah Moslemian was born in 1951, in Salmas, one of the cities of West Azarbijan Province. He is graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University. His records show that he has taught as lecturer in the Faculty of fine Arts of Tehran University (the faculty he himself has been graduated), the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Azad University and some other art centers and conservatoires. He is the winner of the first prize of the Biennale of International Painting of the World of Islam, in 2000. He was also awarded the prize of the first Peking Biennale in China, 2003. Besides these activities he has participated in various domestic and international exhibition both group and individual, including Tehran Contemporary Art Museum, the London, Exhibition of Iran Art, the Bern, Genova exhibition of Iran Art, the Uzbekistani exhibition of Iran Art, the Netherland exhibition of Iran Art, as well as Iran Art Exhibition in New York, Kuwait and Armenia. Moslemiyan within the years of his presence in the arena of art has conducted a great effort to introduce Iran Contemporary Art to the world and according to the view of the art connoisseur his art has culminated within the years.
