Kioumars Kiyasat
Kiyasat was born in Tabriz in 1327 and learned the basic principles of painting from his father. He is considered one of the pioneers and founders of new caricature in Tabriz. He is one of the first people who brought press illustration and caricature closer to free drawing and painting. In most of his works, a smart combination and balance between artistic form and social concepts is evident. This is due to his study and exposure to history. Being an art history teacher himself, he has always analyzed art in a social context; A thoughtful artist, possessing calligraphy and technique, and good taste, who did not limit his art to caricatures and intellectual and press illustrations. He is a prolific artist who has created many works in the field of drawing and painting, book illustration, book cover design, posters and brochures.
