Biography

Seyed Mansour Seyed Sajjadi was born on February 4, 1949, in Karaj, Iran. He completed his primary and secondary education in Karaj, attending Dr. Moradian School and Farabi and Dehkhoda High Schools, and received his diploma in Literature in 1968.

 Following his graduation, he pursued studies in Archaeology and Art at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at the University of Tehran, graduating in 1972. He then completed his mandatory military service and was subsequently employed by the Iranian Center for Archaeology. With a scholarship, he traveled to Italy, where he obtained a “Dottore” degree (equivalent to a Master’s) in Oriental Studies from the University of Naples Oriental Institute in 1978, and later earned a Ph.D. in Iranian Studies from the same university in 1989.

Dr. Sajjadi has had a distinguished career in archaeology, serving as a member and deputy of various archaeological and exploration teams, and he has delivered numerous lectures and presented significant research projects in his field.
