Ahmadi Nasab, Hossein (born 1949) Iranian contemporary film director and painter Childhood and Educations He was born in Minab one of the cities of Hormozgan province located in the south of Iran. From the very beginning he showed a special interest in the loitering and vagrant circus actors and music players who came to Minab every now and then and at length his love to art pushed him to painting and in same city he followed the art of painting. professional activities Hossein Ahmadi Nasab started his theatrical activities and painting in Minab. For seven years he worked as a connoisseur of theater and painting and for a while he taught theater in the office of Islamic Culture and Guidance of Minab and Bandar Abbas. He performed and directed many plays. Among the plays that he performed in the scene of theater one can allude to the plays of “Fox and Eagle, “Where the Fish Turn to Stone”, Four Trunks”, Varzil People Armed with Club”, the Dolls”, “the Wretched Condition”, Good Day Mr. Priest” and… In 1979 he moved to Tehran and became familiar with the Tehran theater actors, and gained some experiences in this art. In Tehran he directed some plays such as “Wheat Harvest at the Season of War”, “The Wretched Condition”, “The Strange Sorrow of Exile”, The Red Blast”, “Babor”, Bride”, The Love of the Reckon Year”, In the Skin of Lion”, “Pearl”, “Perion”, The Serira Fable”, “The Sun’s Offspring”, “The Independents Women”, “The Dead Man and his Pride”. He also by establishing the “Art Atelier” started to train the art students of theater and painting. It is more than 20 years that his stories and poems are publishing in the various journals.
