Akbar Alami (born in 1945) contemporary Persian T.V. announcer and commentator, director, documentary filmmaker Childhood and Educations His father was born in Damghan, but due to his job, he ceaselessly was traveling to various cities and finally married in Khuzestan. Akbar Alami was born in Ahwaz the capital city of Khuzestan and he passed the first years of his life in Khorramshahr, then in the company of his parents he left Khorramshahr for Damghan and when he was a young boy he moved to Tehran, the capital city of Iran. He passed the second course in Ferdowsi High School located in Qolhak, one of the regions of the north of Tehran and then he studied cinema in the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and received his M.A. in the same field from the Institution of Lecturer Training University. He also received a diploma equal to decorate from England and Iran in 1989 Professional Activities His records show a great number of professional T.V. artistic and cultural lasting programs as well as impressive critical views in the field of cinema. His films studies and critics and are remarkable. In 1983 he produced a T.V. serial under the title of “On the Other Face of the Coin” in 56 sections for channel 2 of Iran T.V which is a pedagogical work covering various subjects of film making. Alami in the 1990s was the announcer and commentator of an attractive program under the title of “the Seventh Art” which was one of the most significant T.V. programs in the field of Cinema. He also in the programs of “Ultra Cinema”, “Cinema and You” and “Cinema Five” appeared as an announcer and commentator and founded outstanding manners for thematic film criticism for analyzing the most precious world motion pictures. He also experienced acting in the film “Dad Granted Bread” which was screened in 1972. Alami made more than 30 documentary films for the industries of pharmaceutics, petrochemical, textile, and wood in Italian, French, English, Russian, Arabic, Spanish and German Languages. These films show his high and expensive outlook as well as his overwhelming view in the field of research methods. Akbar Alami for 43 years has taught and lectured in the various Art universities throughout the country.
