Hassan Anvari

Biography

Hassan Anvari (born on March 10, 1934 in Takab) is a retired professor of Persian language and literature at Tarbiat Moalem University in Tehran, the supervisor of the authorship of the great Farhang Sokhon, the proofreader of Golestan Saadi, and a permanent member of the Persian Language and Literature Academy. He has been introduced as a lasting figure in the field of “literature”. Also, a part of his researches is dedicated to hafez study.[1] He has also edited some letters (volumes) of Dehkhoda dictionary. They are originally of Azeri descent. Elite Foundation of Tehran province held a ceremony in 2016 with the presence of a group of scientific and cultural figures of the country, their students and top talents.

After his primary education, Hassan Anvari continued his studies in the master’s degree in Persian language and literature at Tabriz University from 1337-40, and also continued his master’s degree in the same field from Tehran University from 1344-1346. He continued his doctorate course in Persian language and literature at Tehran University from 1346 to 1351.

His activities include writing a part of the Dehkhoda dictionary at the Dehkhoda Dictionary Institute and writing an article in the Islamic Encyclopaedia.

Teaching in Takab high schools, 1332-1337

Teaching in Tabriz universities 1340-1337

Teaching in high schools of Tehran 1346-1340

Teaching at the University of Science and Technology 1351-1348

Cooperation with the organization of textbooks 1358-1343

Cooperation with the Dehkhoda dictionary organization and authoring part of the volumes of the Dehkhoda dictionary, 1340-1359

Teaching literary criticism in the field of journalism, Faculty of Communication Sciences and Social Sciences 1358-1351

Teaching Persian literature and supervising the Persian language and literature department of the School of Sports Sciences 1358-1351

Teaching literary criticism, ancient Persian texts (Shahnameh, Hafez, Saadi) and Persian grammar, teacher training 1358-1365

The cooperation of Payam Noor University and the creation of 9 volumes of textbooks for that university, the establishment of the collection of Persian literature with the cooperation of Dr. Rejafar Shaar, so far 25 volumes of this collection have been published by several publishers (1362).

The establishment of Ganj Adab collection, so far 25 volumes have been published in Qatre publishing house (1371).

The establishment of culture organization for organizing several days of culture (1373)

  Centers of which Fred is one of the founders: Dr. Hassan Anvari was the founder of Persian Literature Collection, Ganj Adab Collection and Culture Organization.

  In addition to teaching at scientific conferences, Hasan Anvari traveled to America in 1357-8 at the invitation of Germany’s Cannes University and to study at Princeton University.
