Seroj Barseghian

Biography

Seroj Barseghian (was born in 1953), Iranian contemporary painter Childhood He was born in Armenian quarter of Jolfa of Isfahan, but when he was very young he moved Tehran and for a while he worked in a pharmacy. Education In 1960 by the encouragement of his friends and by reliance on his talent and his interest in painting he entered in Tehran Kamal-ol-molk School of Art and attracted the attention of his masters. He entered in the College of Fine Arts and completed his trainings in 1974, then he entered the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University in the branch of painting and in 1980 he was graduated from the university Exhibitions • Participating in 3 courses of the annual exhibitions of the Art school, special for boys, 1971-73 • The individual exhibition of Afrand Gallery, 1990 • The individual exhibition of Afrand Gallery, 1991 • The exhibitions of A Glance at the works, Tehran Contemporary Art Museum, 1993 • Participating in group exhibitions in France and Mexico, 1996 • Individual exhibition of Elaheh Gallery, 2001 • Individual exhibition of Elaheh Gallery, 2003 • Individual exhibition of Banafsheh Gallery, 2007 • Individual exhibition of Armenian Club, 2008 • Participating and undertaking the secretary of the exhibition of three Generations of Iranian Armenian Painters, in the Saba Cultural Center, 2008 Awards • The award of the best work in the works of Art school’s Iran travelling which was held by Asghar Mohammadi, the master of Fine Arts in 1973 • Winner of the first award of Board of Judgers in the 2nd Tehran Painting Biennale, 1993
