Biography

Mohammad Hamzeh (born 1963 in Mortazavi Street, Tehran) is an Iranian painter and sculptor who has earned a distinguished place in Iran’s visual arts. Influenced from childhood by his older brother, who worked at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, he entered the world of art and completed his primary education at Babayan Elementary School in Tehran. Hamzeh has participated in numerous domestic and international exhibitions with works that often address social, cultural, and human themes.

 

Life and Early Career

Mohammad Hamzeh was born in 1963 in the Mortazavi neighborhood of Tehran. Growing up in an artistically inclined family, his older brother’s work at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults sparked his interest in art. He attended Babayan Elementary School and began painting during his teenage years. Hamzeh received training in visual arts and launched his professional career in the 1990s.

 

Artistic Activities

Over more than three decades, Hamzeh has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in prestigious galleries in Tehran and abroad. As a photographer focused on cultural and social narratives, he has participated in local art events, including exhibitions at Golestan and Etemad galleries.
