Biography

Gohar Kheyrandish (born August 22, 1954), a theater and cinema actor, Radio announcer, and cinema lecturer Childhood and Education She was born in Shiraz. In 1970 when she was still a high school student, she started her theatrical activities. In 1978, when she was accepted to Tehran University she migrated to Tehran in the company of her husband and her children. In 1990 she was graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University in the branches of acting and theater directing. In 1999 she was awarded the sign of the first artistic grade and the Honorary Doctorate from the Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance. Personal Life Gohar Kheyr Andish in 1970 married Jamshid Ismaeil Khani (dead in 2012) cinema and theater actor. They were acting in Shiraz theaters. The fruit of this marriage is three children were called Omid, Azadeh, and Anahita. Professional Activities Gohar Kheyr Andish before moving to Tehran was an employee of the Shiraz Department of Cultural and Art and in Tehran along with studying in the university and following the theater acting, was employed by the Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance for artistic activities. Then she started acting on T.V. and cinema and in most of her performances she shined brightly. Among her other activities, one can allude to Radio broadcasting in a program was titled “The Voice of vigilance”. Kheyr Andish at the present time is one of the permanent masters of the center of young cinematographers and is lecturing at Sura University as well as the Universities of Isfahan, and Shiraz. She has an expansive experience of teaching in the art schools of these towns. She also has held some workshops in some of the well-known universities of the U.S.A. Accidents During Acting Gohar Kheyr Andish has experienced many serious accidents in the process of filmmaking. The first accident traces back to the time that the film “Lady” by Mehrjooie directing was on the way; in this accident, her shoulder was broken and her kidneys were afflicted, and was bedded in the Shiraz Namazi Hospital. The second accident happened in the time of making the serial of “The Epic of Flour” with Behzad Farahani directing, in this event her backbone was broken and her appendix was torn. On October 30, 2013, when she was acting in the film “Azar, Shahdokht, Parviz and Others” by Behrooz Afkhami directing, because of an accident her skull and collar bone were broken, and was transferred to the hospital to be operated on; she also was inflicted in March 2017 when the T.V. serial of “From This Wall to That Wall” was on the way, she was inflicted seriously from the tarsal bones and was placed under operation. The result of the operation was not successful and she was transferred to the U.S.A. and was operated on again, but none of the operations could save her from suffering. Works As Theater Actor 1.
