Fatemeh (Simin) Moatamed Aria (born 24 October 1961) Iranian Actress Childhood and Education She was born in Tehran, 1974 she joined the Center for the Intellectual Growth of Children and Young Adults and then after two years she was accepted as a student of art in the College of Art and in 1979 was graduated from the college in the branch of acting. Professional Activities From entering the college of Art, she started cooperation with the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University. Puppeteering the serial of the “School of Mice” in 1981 was the starting point of her cooperation with the Television Organization and then in 1984 she recorded the serial of the “Shuttle Quarter” and at length, with the film “Combat” in 1985, she joined the Iran professional cinema. In 1990 for the first time, she appeared in a T.V. serial by playing in the memorable film “The Flower of Primrose” which is regarded as one of the most outstanding roles she has played in her artistic life. Among her most popular roles is one may refer to the films that she played with Iraj Tahmaseb and Hamid Jebbeli. These three persons by playing in many films like “The Puppet with Red Woolly Hat and The Cousin”, “The Cookie Seller Girl”, “Once Upon a Time” and “Under the Peach Tree” formed one of the most successful artistic group in the cinema of Iran. Motamed Aria who supported Mir Hossein in the presidential elections of 2009 and played a propaganda film along with Zahra Rahnavard for him, was banned to leave the country in the September of that year and also due to supporting the Green Movements through holding interviews after the presidential elections, was banned to work for four years and also Iran cinema was deprived for four years to show her picture under any condition. She is the first woman who is a member of the managing board of the House of Iran Cinema. Private Life She married in 1981 Ahmad Hamed and the fruit of this marriage is a boy called Nariman.
