Biography

Shirandami, Valiyollah (24.03.931), Iranian contemporary director and actor Childhood and Educations He was born in the city of Marv (the then Soviet Turkmenistan). He was seven years old that his family due to political issues left Russia for Iran and they choose Tehran, the capital city as their own home. Bypassing the courses of primary school and the first section of secondary school, he enlisted in the army school, but after the coup déta of 1953 and the fall of the Mosadeq government, he left the army. In 1958 he entered into Anahita Theater and started to learn the art and followed the education of art and at length, he received his B.A. in 1972 from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University. Professional Activities Shir Andami with a certificate of the first three years of high school employed by the Ministry of Education and was assigned as a school teacher and concurrently he was assigned to handle the theaters of the Ministry of Education too. After early retirement, he sticks to theatrical acting seriously. Within the years of 1986 and 1988, he taught acting in the complex of Islamic Culture and Art. In 1993 he received an appreciation letter from the cultural representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vienna for the directorship of the play “Punishment” and was awarded the art first-grade badge from the Council of the Artists Evaluation of Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance. Family Life In 1960 when he was watching the theater of “Foxes” he became acquainted with Afrooz Shir Andami and this meeting led to marriage.
