Hadi Mirmiran
Biography
Seyed Hadi Mirmiran (March 14, 1945 – April 18, 2006) was one of Iran’s most influential contemporary architects, urban designers, university lecturer, and the principal architect of Naqsh-e-Jahan Pars Consulting Engineers (NJP). Born in Qazvin, he earned his M.A. in Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, in 1968 with first-class honors. Throughout more than four decades of professional practice, Mirmiran became renowned for reinterpreting the principles of traditional Persian architecture within a contemporary architectural language.

Mirmiran’s professional career can be divided into three major periods:
1968–1979: Chief Architect, Architectural Workshop, National Iranian Steel Company (Town Planning Department).
1980–1988: Chief Architect, Design Department of Khanesazi-e-Iran Company; later Chief Architect at the Isfahan General Office of Housing and Urban Development.
1988–2006: Director and Principal Architect of Naqsh-e-Jahan Pars Consulting Engineers (NJP).
