Early Life and Education

Ahmad ZabetiJahromi is a prominent Iranian documentary filmmaker and film editor, often referred to as the “Father of Film Editing in Iran” due to his extensive research and publications in this field.

He pursued higher education in cinema and dramatic arts:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Film and Television Directing, Faculty of Dramatic Arts (1976)
  • Master’s Degree: Art Research, University of Art
  • Ph.D.: Art Research (Dramatic Arts), University of Art

 

Academic and Professional Career

ZabetiJahromi has been a faculty member at the Iran Broadcasting University and has taught courses on cinema, television, film editing, and documentary filmmaking for several decades. In addition to teaching, he has contributed significantly to documentary filmmaking, film editing, and cinema research.
