Milad Kiaei

Born on 1944 in Tehran, he started in a family that was all from culture, literature, poetry, and music. Although his father held important and high administrative jobs at that time, he never considered those high-ranking jobs proud and he was always proud that he deals with the art of painting, poetry, literature, and music and was able to educate his children with art. Familiar with high music. His father was also one of the first founders of Iranian theater and cinema and has acted in several Persian movies. He played the strings and the dulcimer well in the old style and was well acquainted with several living languages of the world, especially French. Since the birth of Milad Kiai was synonymous with the establishment of peace after World War II, for this reason, and inspired by the names of the heroes of Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, they named him “Milad”. (It should be noted that the first name of Milad in the history of naming in Iran, according to the documents of the Civil Registry Office and the issuance of identity card belongs to him.) Milad Kiai showed great taste and talent in music from his childhood and played the dulcimer from the age of eight, first with his father and then teaching Persian music to his older brother, Iraj Kiai, who was a talented student at that time. He learned the music school of Abolhassan Khan Saba and then he himself followed a new style and method in playing this instrument. He started his artistic activities in the children’s radio program at the age of ten, and after that, as a teenager, he was responsible for performing several radio and television programs called “Ehsas va Andisheh” and “Bazm Adineh” for four years. At the age of seventeen, when he was studying in the second cycle of “micro-high school”, he won the first place in the art competitions of music schools all over the country, and at the same time he was a music teacher for extracurricular classes for five years. Musicology became affiliated with the University of Tehran. In the field of composition, he has won the favor of several great masters and has composed more than one hundred songs, most of which have been performed and recorded by large and small orchestras as well as national music groups. The names of some of these parts are as follows: Pegah, Abarbi Baran, Sabzehzar, music on local themes of Iran, why, yad, bubble, orphan three times, this infinite description, Sara, pieces for dulcimer and orchestra, white mountains, dawn, open secret, escape, Mehromah, Passion and Happiness, New Role, Sunflower, etc. He has also composed soundtracks for eighteen movies and TV series. Milad Kiai has also made some innovations on the tuning of the dulcimer and has written works on the steps and distances between the screens of the Iranian music authorities, which are about to be published. Since 1964, when he was a student at the Faculty of Nutrition and Health Sciences, he has been the director of cultural and artistic plans and programs of the Youth Palace for eighteen years. He is currently a music teacher and a member of the Board of Trustees of Iranian Audio Culture. In 2001, he received a doctorate in music in the field of music and composition from the Supreme Council for the Evaluation of Iranian Artists. They were awarded a plaque of honor for fifty years of artistic activity. He has given concerts in Canada, France, Germany, the United States, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Australia and several Asian countries. And some have been promoted to high levels in the art of music, and over the past year, four of their students have earned doctorates in music in Canada and the United Kingdom.
