Biography

Iraj Raminfar, born January 24, 1949, in Tehran, Iran, is a distinguished Iranian art director, production designer, and costume designer. Renowned for his contributions to Iranian cinema, he has left a significant mark through his creative work in film, television, and theater.

Education and Early Career

Raminfar holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in set and costume design from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Tehran and further studied architecture at the University of Vincennes in France. He began his cinematic journey in 1967 as a set and costume consultant for the film Journey. His early involvement in the industry laid the foundation for a prolific career in production design.
