Biography

Aneh Mohammad Tatari, the Turkman painter was born in 1956 in Gonbad Kavoos, a town in the utmost north of Iran. He is graduated from open university in M.A. level and is teaching in Tehran Art Universities. Tatari has held more than 50 individual and group exhibitions in Iran, Switzerland, France, Venezuela, Qatar, Arab Emirate, Armenia and Jordan. His works are preserved in British Museum, Jordan Library Museum, Imam Ali (A.S.) Museum, Tehran Academy Art Museum and Switzerland Embassy in Tehran. He is the winner of the prize of the 2nd Tehran Biennale, 2001 and the winner of the 3rd festival of Iran teachers’ painting in Isfahan, 2003 and the winner of the First Festival of Tehran Teachers Plastic Art, 2003 and the winner of the 2nd Biennale of the World of Islam, 2004, winner the prize of the 2nd Tehran Festival of Teachers Plastic Art, 2008 and the winner of the 4th Tehran International Painting Biennale in the world of Islam. Tatari is one of the most outstanding painters especially in the realm of Iranian painting. Most of his tableaus are presented in the format of Iranian tradition and its relation with the outer world. The techniques are employed in his paintings based upon modern and postmodern art which at the same time are preserving the local and domestic ceremonial and traditional aspects.
